Compensation matters more than conviction to us, says Salman's hit-and-run case victims
I still stick to my claim that it was Salman Khan who was driving the vehicle on that ill fated night, said one of the victims Mohammed Kaleem Pathan.

New Delhi: The victims and family members of Salman Khan's hit-and-run case on Thursday appealed the actor and the court to consider their compensation pleas as they are finding it difficult to run their families.

They claimed that Salman's acquittal in 2002 hit-and-run case, which took place at Bandra in Mumbai, makes no difference for them.

Speaking to the CNN-IBN from Sultanpur, one of the victims, Mohammed Kaleem Pathan said, "For us compensation matters more than conviction. We have not got justice. For the last 13 years I have been struggling. I lost one leg and now I need compensation for the damage. I am hopeful that somebody will give justice to us."

"Whether Salman Khan was convicted or acquitted, it does not matter to us. We want compensation and I still stick to my claim that it was Salman who was driving the vehicle on that ill fated night. I saw him getting down from steering seats. It was Salman who was driving," Pathan said.

Meanwhile, family members of Nurullah Mahboob Sheikh, who was crushed under speeding SUV allegedly drove by the actor, too demanded compensation from the actor through CNN-IBN. "All that I want now is some help from Salman," Nurullah's wife said.

"Salman should help us for a stable life," Nurullah's son Feroz said.
