HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has, in principle, given the green signal for the second phase of Sri Satya Sai Water Supply Project for Anantapur district.The chief minister gave his nod at a review meeting he held on the project with minister and officials in his chambers at the Secretariat on Thursday.The Satya Sai Trust will take up the second phase of the project to provide water to 118 habitations in Anantapur district. In the fist phase, 732 habitations are being provided water supply. The chief minister directed that the rural water supply department be the nodal agency for the second phase. He also gave approval for supply of 0.164 tmcft of water from the Chitravati balancing river in Anantapur district.The Satya Sai Trust also provides water supply in Medak, Mahbubnagar, East and West Godavari districts. Minister for municipal administration M Maheeedhar Reddy, chief secretary Pankaj Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, MAUD, Sam Bob attended the meeting.
