CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed the Chennai Corporation Commissioner not to disturb DMK MP TR Baalu from using his camp office in T Nagar. By a notice dated May 31 last, the Corporation asked Baalu to vacate his camp office on Thyagaraya Road within 15 days. Aggrieved, he moved the Madras High Court challenging the notice.When the matter came up on Tuesday, Justice R Sudhakar granted a week’s time to Baalu to submit his reply to the notice. The Corporation should pass orders within a week thereafter. Till such time, Baalu should not be disturbed, the judge said.Baalu was allotted the office after he was elected from the South Chennai Lok Sabha constituency in 2004. He was re-elected as an MP from the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha constituency in the elections held in 2009. And he continued to use the premises in T Nagar as his camp office. However, after the AIADMK came to power in May, the Corporation issued the notice asking him to vacate the camp office.
