'A sip of water saved me...' - Citizen Journalist from Mumbai, Fatima Ah Siraja, reports on how she got saved by a whisker, just because she felt thirsty at the right time.

Me and my sister had gone to Churchgate to visit Fort for some work.

While returning we were every hungry and decided to have a small pizza at the railway station.

After the snack, we walked towards the main indicators, and saw that the 5.36 pm Slow Local for Borivali was at the plat form.

We decided to get into it, but I said I wanted to drink something, but no cold drink stalls were available.

So I opened my bag to take out the water bottle and had a sip, and we walked quickly towards the local, but suddenly the train started and we missed it.

But I remembered that 3 minutes later there is a train at 5.39 pm which was a Ladies Special Slow Local for Borivali.

Both of us waited at the same platform and entered it, not knowing that we were trailing behind the ill-fated train in which the blast occurred at Jogeshwari.

The only reason, I think there was no bomb in our train is that, 5.39 Ladies special comes from the yard (car-shed), that is, it comes completely empty and nobody had the chance to enter the train before Churchgate and place the bomb.

And if there had been ladies involved with the blasts they could have easily done it with this train too.

I just thank God and the best wishes of my near and dear ones for saving us. And I deeply condemn this act of terrorism that has led to nothing but loss of innocent lives.

What's your reaction?
