Cattle walk the ramp

BANGALORE: Netkallapa Circle grounds in Basavangudi looked like a village for a brief period on Saturday as people brought cows, adorned them and even had the cows participate in a fashion show. The village atmosphere was created for Sankranthi, when cattle is worshipped and  thanked for their contribution to agriculture,  to expose and educate city dwellers about Sankranthi festivities.The highlight was the cattle fashion show where owners were awarded for their efforts. Families adorned their cows with ribbons, colour papers, and even jewellery. Organised by Sai Gold Palace, all visitors were given ellu-bella packets.
