Chandigarh: The Haryana Police have booked 30 persons following the killing of three people, including a Border Security Force (BSF) trooper, in the state's Hisar district, the police said on Tuesday.
The killings took place during a shoot-out on Monday, between two groups in Sheikhpura village near Hansi town, 250 km from here, due to old enmity, Deputy Superintendent of Police Narinder Kadian told the media.
The victims included the BSF trooper and a local trade union leader.
The police officer said that a group of over 20 persons had an argument with another group of around 8-10 on Monday, following which those in the bigger group opened fire indiscriminately.
The police are investigating the fracas and the shooting and have rounded up some persons for questioning.
