BANGALORE: In an operation against rowdies in the city, the police raided the houses of 32 rowdy sheeters. Also, these rowdies were warned that they would be dealt with iron hand if they involved in anti-social activities.Following an instruction by city Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji, the raids were conducted in North, South and West police divisions of the city. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths conducted raids along with the local police on Sunday morning.However, the police were able to trace only around 10 rowdies while the others were not available at their homes. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Krishnamraju said, “Maheem, the accused in BBMP corporator Diwan Ali murder case, Gopalaiah, Basava, Brake Jaggi, Gorilla, Lakshmana and a few other rowdies were found at the address given by them. Kuppa of Cottonpet was arrested after a dagger was found at his house.” He also added that the raid was conducted as some of them were using budding rowdies to conduct anti-social activities.
