Patna: At least one child died on Saturday while six others were hospitalised after being administered with polio drops in Vaishali district of Bihar.
However, it is yet to be ascertained if the cause of the death werethe polio drops or any other infection that might have been acquired by the children.
District officials have set up a probe and have also sent a team of doctors to the hospital to monitor the hospitalised children.
India was declared polio free by World Health Organsiation(WHO) in the year 2014 after it saw no case being registered for continuous three years.
