KURNOOL: A man, in an inebriated condition, killed his daughter in Kesanpet mandal headquarters in Mahaboobnagar district on Saturday.Srinivas Reddy and Lakshmi, who were married eight years ago, have two daughters. For the last few months, the couple have been arguing over the matter of dowry.As Srinivas asked Lakshmi to get the 4-tola gold promised by her father during marriage, she went to her parents in Maheswaram village in Rangareddy district, two days ago, leaving the girls with her husband.On Friday night, Srinivas came home in a drunken state and finding his two daughters fast asleep, he strangulated his elder daughter Keerti (5) to death. Later, Srinivas dozed off. On Saturday morning, neighbours came to know about the incident and Lakshmi, along with her relatives, rushed to her house. ASI Ashok said they took Srinivas into custody.
