3 caught with explosives on NH

DHARMAPURI: Adhiyamankottai police arrested  three persons for transporting explosives without proper license on Tuesday night.A police team was on its regular check of vehicles near the railway gate on the Dharmapuri-Salem National Highway, when they intercepted a tractor carrying illicit explosive materials.About 30 gelatin sticks and 30 detonators were seized from the tractor. As the tractor owner S Shanmugam (42) did not own a proper license, police arrested him and his associates R Arumugam (50) and S Govindasamy (27).
