BANGALORE: The people of Bangalore can soon expect 24/7 power supply in the city with the State Government planning to set up 22 more power stations.Speaking after the inauguration of a multi-purpose hall and guest rooms at Karnataka electricity Board on Saturday, Minister for Energy and Food and Civil Supplies, Shobha Karandlaje said, “The government will set up power stations at 22 places to provide 24/7 power to all the city people.Through this, we can solve the problem of power cuts.” She promised to take all possible measures to supply quality power in the State.“The State Government has already reserved the money that will be required for these 22 power stations,” Karandjale added.L Ravi, Chairman of Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers Association, praised Karandlaje for her contribution to the power sector in the State.V Venkatesh Reddy, General Secretary of Karnataka Electricity Board Engineers Association, Managing Director P Manivannan, KPTCL’s Director S Pratap Kumar and engineers from different parts of the State were among those present on the occasion.
