Couples who recently got married can now receive the divine blessings of Lord Venkateswara. As the season of weddings is here, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has rolled out a special opportunity for newly-wed couples. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is an independent trust which manages the temples including the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh. It will be offering tickets to facilitate special darshan for them to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. It is pertinent to note that it is a ritual for a couple to visit Tirumala temple immediately after their wedding. They need to go for darshan, dressed in their wedding clothes. Since the marriage signifies the beginning of a new phase of life, it is considered to be auspicious to get the blessings of Lord Venkateswara before the new journey begins.
As per the beliefs, devotee couples arrive at the temple to be a part of Srivari Kalyanotsavam. It is said to bring fortune, love, peace, and prosperity to the lives of married couples. Couples who got married less than a week ago can apply for Kalyanotsavam Seva at Tirumala. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams’ official website reserves 20 tickets per day for newly-married couples. The price for the ticket is Rs 1000. The tickets stay valid for both marriage ceremonies and special darshan.
There are certain rules that need to be followed to get this ticket. Firstly, the newly-married couple must go to Arjitha Seva Lucky Dip counter in the CRO office, where the bride and groom are required to present their wedding pictures for proof. In addition to that, they should have been married only a week prior to visiting the temple. Marriage should have been done in less than a week. Along with these, their Aadhaar card is also required to be submitted as an identity proof. Once the process is done, the newlyweds can directly get the Kalyanotsavam ticket.
