Veteran actor Suman is set to grace the screen in a supernatural divine thriller titled Trisha, and the film’s production has kicked off with the recording of its songs.
Following the tradition pioneered by Superstar Chiranjeevi, where films commence with the recording of songs, director RK Gandhi has initiated the production of Trisha. Suman, known for his acting prowess alongside legends like NTR, is poised to showcase his talent in this intriguing thriller.
Directed by RK Gandhi and jointly produced by Ravindra Boosam and Easwar Naganath under Snehalayam Creations and BR Movies banners, with Kiran Kumar Gudipally as the presenter, Trisha features an ensemble cast. Alongside Suman, the film stars Kalakeya Prabhakar, Suresh Surya, Kushi Goud, Yuveena, Krishnendra, Dheeraj Appaji, Anand Matta, and others.
Young composer ML Raja is in charge of the music and song lyrics for the film. The rest of the crew includes line producer Hanumanth Rayappa, cinematographer Pramod Bharatiya, and choreographer Suriya Kiran. The shooting is scheduled to commence on November 14, with the song recording completed on November 8, 2023, at Abheri Studios.
Suman, a stalwart in the South Indian film industry, boasts an illustrious career spanning over 40 years. With a filmography of more than 700 films in 10 languages, he has portrayed diverse roles, including mythological figures like Venkateswara, Rama, and Shiva. Notable films in his repertoire include Tharangini, Neti Bharatam, and Sitaara. Recognized for his exceptional work, he received the Nandi Award for Best Actor for the 1993 film Bava Bavamaridi. Suman has also showcased his versatility by playing antagonist roles in movies such as Rajinikanth’s Sivaji and Kuruvi starring Thalapathy Vijay. In 2009, he was honoured with the Asianet Film Honour Special Jury Award. Undoubtedly, Suman stands as one of the most prominent actors in Telugu cinema, particularly during the 80s and 90s.
