Shiva Rajkumar Comes On Board For Manchu Vishnu-starrer Kannappa

Manchu Vishnu is one of the most talented actors in the Telugu film industry and has acted in more than 20 films till now. The Dynamite actor will be next seen in the Telugu action-adventure drama film Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. The film was announced in August this year, and there has been a lot of hype around it ever since. There were also reports that Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar — affectionately known as Shivanna — has joined the star cast. Now, the reports have been confirmed by the production house AVA Entertainment on social media. According to PTI, on Thursday evening, the production house confirmed this on Twitter and wrote, “It is a Great Honour for us to have Shiva Rajkumar Sir joining the Kannappa Movie. Another comeback where the wise awakens … He is everything and everything. He is the universe,” the studio posted.

According to reports, Shiva Rajkumar’s role in Kannappa is expected to be a captivating highlight in a film that already holds tremendous promise and intrigue.

Apart from Shiva Rajkumar, strong rumours are circulating that other industry biggies including Prabhas, Mohanlal and Nayanthara may be seen in significant roles in the film. This was also confirmed by Manchu Vishnu as he wrote, “Har Har Mahadev,” on the report on the micro-blogging site.

Kannappa is based on the true story of Bhakta Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. The film promises to explore the extraordinary journey of this devotee, known for his unwavering faith and incredible sacrifices. The story was initially developed by Tanikella Bharani and was later made into a screenplay by V Vijayendra Prasad, Thota Prasad, G Nageswara Reddy, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna and Sainath Thotapalli. The film is being produced by Mohan Babu, under the banners 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments. The music for the film is scored by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy.

Earlier, Nupur Sanon starred as the leading lady of the film, but Manchu Vishnu confirmed that she had opted out of the film due to date issues.

It was reported earlier that the shoot for the Kannappa has begun in New Zealand, and that the film would also be shot in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad.
