Hyderabad began well in their first innings to reach 138 for 1 at stumps on day two in response to Mumbai’s first innings total of 443 at their home ground. Mumbai, who were 325 for 2 at the close of day one, lost wickets in a heap on day two and were reduced to 443. Hiken Shah and Rohit Sharma, centurions on day one, couldn’t kick on and barring Abhishek Nayar, who scored 64, no other batsman showed resistance.
For Hyderabad, Ashish Reddy was pick of the bowlers as he grabbed four wickets. Hyderabad captain Akshath Reddy (63*) and Hanuma Vihari (53*) were at the crease when day was called.

In Mohali, Saurashtra did well to restrict Punjab to 205 on day two after they were skittled out for 90 on day one. Siddharth Trivedi bagged a five-wicket haul to script a comeback for his team. Saurashtra reached 212 for 7 at the close of day two in their second innings Sagar Jogiyani, who was their top scorer in their first innings, came good again and was holding the fort at unbeaten 72.
Saurahstra have a lead of 97 runs with three wickets in hand.

In Indore, Shami Ahmed took a hat-trick on day two as last five wickets of Madhya Pradesh fell in 11 runs. Ahmed removed Anand Rajan, Amarjeet Singh and IC Pandey on consecutive balls to bowl Madhya Pradesh out for 342, after they were comfortably placed at 331 for 5 at stumps on day one.
However, Bengal bowlers couldn’t capitalize on the Ahmed’s superlative effort and were 200 for 6 when play on day two was called. Wriddhiman Saha, whose captaining the side in absence of Manoj Tiwary, was the lone fighter as he cracked 87.

In Bhubaneshwar, Gujarat fought hard to reach 54 for no loss, which took them 35 overs, at stumps on day two against Railways. Railways lower-middle collapsed as from 298 for 5, they were all out for 308. Their skipper Sanjay Bangar and Mahesh Rawar made defiant half-centuires. Railways had rolled Gujarat over for 117 on day one.
