ISL 2015: FC Goa look to keep unbeaten record intact
FC Goa, who have a win and a draw, play their third home match on the trot and they would look for a win against Chennaiyin FC to further boost their confidence ahead of away matches.

Margao: FC Goa would look to maintain their unbeaten run when they take on Chennaiyin FC in a third round match of the second edition of the Indian Super League football here on Sunday.

FC Goa, who have a win and a draw, play their third home match on the trot and they would look for a win on Sunday to further boost their confidence ahead of away matches.

While Channaiyin had a disappointing start to the league, loosing both their matches they have played, assistant coach Vivek Nagul said they were hoping to collect their first points tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium here.

FC Goa coach Zico indicated that he may field almost the same side that played in the last two matches. While Victor Simoes is out of action until the first phase, the good news is that midfielder Bikramjit Singh has recovered from injury and is most likely to replace Denson Devdas tomorrow.

"Our players have given good account of themselves in both the matches especially in the last match against Atletico de Kolkata where we dominated over our rivals but could not find the equaliser until defender Keenan Almedia bailed us out to hold them to a 1-1 draw," Zico said.

"No team is weak and all are on same level and cannot underestimate our tomorrow's opponents after their two losses.

They (Chennaiyin) dominated against Atletico de Kolkata in their opening match but lost after committing two mistakes to concede two goals. The same thing happened to us also in the last match where we conceded early goal in spite of dominating the match but found the equaliser through Keenan Almedia goal in the second half. We are well prepared and looking to win tomorrow," stated Zico.

Asked about striker Renieldo not finding the net in the last match, Zico said, "It does not bother me much as he did not get too many chances to score. He will be able to do better if the midfield play close to him and provide enough space for him to strike."

Chennaiyin FC could adopt a defensive approach against the home team who play attacking game.

Assistant coach Nagul is, however, least perturbed about his team's two losses.

"We have worked on our mistakes and looking for an entertaining contest. I know the home team is a good side but we are well prepared to face them and hopefully will collect our first point," stated Nagul.
