Hamburg, Germany: Hamburger SV have taken defender Johan Djourou from Arsenal on a one-season loan, with an option for a full contract after that.
The Bundesliga club says the Switzerland international passed a medical and signed the contract on Monday.
Djourou played for Hannover in the Bundesliga last season.
