Celta have recorded a 2-0 surprise win over Real Madrid at the Balaidos in Sunday's La Liga encounter to end the away side's title dreams.
Real, who at the start of the match were trailing leaders Atletico Madrid by four points and second-placed Barcelona by one, sent out a host of B-team players, leaving out the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, with both eyes fixed on the Champions League final.
Their performance was even worse than that though, as the likes of Luka Modric, Isco, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo were comfortably beaten by mid-table Celta.
Atletico Madrid and Barcelona will play a La Liga title decider at the Nou Camp stadium next weekend after leaders Atletico drew 1-1 at home to Malaga and second-placed Barca were held to a 0-0 stalemate at Elche.
Atletico are top on 89 points from 37 matches, with Barca on 86 and Real, who were missing key players through injury at Celta including top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo, on 84.
The result means Real can finish second at best, but are likely to come third; a draw in the big match next Sunday would see Atletico win the title, with Barca needing a victory to clinch it on the head-to-head.
