Telugu actor Prabhas has started the year on a happy note. The actor’s recent release, Salaar, has performed well at the box office, earning close to Rs 400 crore in India at the time of reporting. The film has even shattered a few records. The film was directed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel and the duo will reunite for Salaar 2. While fans have shared their verdict on Salaar on various social media platforms, Prabhas opened up about the one person he feels is the best critic of his life. “In my family, my mother is my best critic,” Prabhas said.
Salaar was released on December 22, on the occasion of Christmas. Since its release, fans have been sharing their favourite moments from the film. Now, Prabhas has revealed what he enjoyed the most in the film and no, it is not his action scenes.
“The fans’ response, especially to the action scenes and intense moments is something I credit to my director,” he said before adding, “I am happy if my director is happy on set and my fans are happy in theatres. There are a couple of scenes that I personally enjoyed performing, not just the action sequences but the emotional ones between mother and son & between two best friends.”
“Essentially, I am a director’s actor. My director wanted me to portray both innocence and a monstrous quality simultaneously, according to what the scenes demanded. Deva is a man who has specific emotions, triggered by his mother and, especially, his friend. Anything connected to them influences his character, and that’s how he emotes. I performed based on what the director wanted, especially when it came to scenes connected to my mother and friend,” Prabhas said.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Prabhas joined the cast and crew of Salaar to celebrate the success of the film. Prabhas was seen alongside director Prashanth Neel, Prithviraj Sukumaran, music composer Ravi Basrur and distributor Anil Thadani, celebrating the box office success of the film.
