Bipasha Basu On Trolls Body Shaming Her for Post-Pregnancy Weight: 'Please Keep...' | Exclusive
In their first interview post parenthood, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover talk about their daughter. They also react to trolls taking digs at the actress' weight gain.

Bipasha Basu Singh Grover gave birth to a baby girl in November last year, seven years after her marriage to Karan Singh Grover. A while back, she had revealed in an Instagram live session with Neha Dhupia that she conceived her daughter, Devi, through IVF and learnt three days after her birth that she had two holes in her heart. While her battles reverberated with a lot of mothers on social media, it also became a bed of relentless trolling. Her public appearances led many to take digs at her for her sartorial choices and post-partum weight gain.

In their first joint chat post parenthood, Bipasha addresses the trolls and exclusively reveals to News18 Showsha that she remains unfazed with all the body-shaming and negativity that’s coming her way. “I would like to tell them to please keep trolling. It’s completely fine because I’m not bothered,” Bipasha tells us. Karan chimes in with a smirk, “As long as they’re watching us, it is okay.”

Life has changed a lot for Bipasha after she welcomed Devi into her life. Talking about being a mother now, she says, “Devi’s my number one when it comes to everything and anything. Whether my eyes are open or shut, it’s always her. Every time I step out, I just want to run back home and be with her. Everything in my life now revolves around her… Karan is number three, I’m number two and Devi is number one.” As for Karan, not much has changed. Prod him further and he jokes, “I’m a slave who used to have one master. Now I’ve two masters and I’m still a slave. So, nothing much has changed for me.”

So, who’s the good cop between them? “I’m the more disciplined one. Karan’s the one always getting bullied by her. She’s ten months old but she bullies her father. I let that happen because it’s cute to watch it. In fact, she bullies me too. I’ve finally found someone who bullies me,” Bipasha chuckles. Adding to that, Karan shares with a laugh, “Where do you think Devi has learnt it from? I’m trying to pataao Devi because if she’s on my side, I can have things my way.”

The couple recently turned showstoppers for the launch of Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd’s first exclusive boys wear brand- Junior Killer. This is the first time that both Bipasha and Karan walked the ramp with a bunch of children. Sharing her excitement about the same, the Race (2008) and Dum Maro Dum (2011) actor tells us, “I walked the ramp after a long time. It was my first event after having a baby and I think it was really amazing because I got to walk with more babies. They had such amazing energy. They were dancing and doing cartwheels. It was a lot of fun!” Karan in his signature wit adds, “It was nice to be walking the ramp where I was the tallest person.”
