Bollywood actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are expecting the arrival of their first baby in the first half of July. Known to be thorough professionals, the couple is still working round the clock in an attempt to wrap up their professional commitments before Richa’s delivery date. While she’s busy with her press interactions post the success of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Ali is currently shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life in Delhi.
A well-planted source exclusively tells News18 Showsha, “Ali has joined the team of Thug Life in their second schedule in Delhi. He has been shooting most of his scenes with Kamal Haasan. He has been prepping for the same in the national capital and kick-started the shoot on Monday (May 6). This schedule is expected to be a little short of a month.”
Following the completion of the schedule, our source adds, Ali will be returning to Mumbai. He will take a small break to be with his wife. “It’s still unclear if he’ll take a longer leave to be with the baby once it arrives. But Ali doesn’t want to miss out on the memories of being around his newborn and being a support system to Richa,” states the source.
We’ve also learned that following about a two-week break, Ali will return to the sets of Thug Life and commence the third schedule of the film. He’ll be flying to Chennai and joining the cast members to begin this schedule in Chennai in July end or early August. As for Richa, she will be dedicating a few weeks to the baby and then plans on resuming work with the intent of striking a work-life balance like most mothers do.
Speaking to News18 recently, Richa revealed that she hasn’t thought of how she wants to bring up her child yet and that she looks up to her mother to derive inspiration from her about the kind of mother she wants to be. “It’s rightly said that it’s the child that gives birth to the mother. So, I guess we’ll figure it all out once our child comes into this world. And I know that it will happen very naturally. I’ve watched my mother raise two kids while being a working professional. She delivered my brother and went back to her job of teaching at a college in a month,” she said.
She added, “I always saw her working outside and at home and there was no sense of cheerful indifference in that. She actually enjoyed her life teaching us to live by principle and be empowered and I’m going to take my cue from that.”
