Clearing the Cache in New Teams (Windows)
Quit Teams, if it's currently running. Teams must be closed for you to clear the cache.
Press ⊞ Win+R. This will open the Run dialog box.
Enter the path to Teams' local cache. This path is: %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams. You don't have to change anything in this path to get to the right location; the variable "%userprofile%" will automatically fill in your Microsoft account name. Press ↵ Enter to run the command.
Delete all the files and folders in the "MSTeams" folder. When Run takes you to the "MSTeams" folder, everything inside that folder should be deleted to clear the Teams cache.
Restart Teams. Your app cache will now be cleared. You can also clear Teams' cache from your computer's Settings app, but this will also delete any of your personalized Teams settings or configuration. If you'd prefer to clear the cache this way, however, do the following: Open your Settings app and go to Apps > Installed Apps > Microsoft Teams. Click the More options button. Choose Advanced options. Click Reset. Restart Teams.
