Dreaming of becoming an officer in the Border Security Force (BSF)? Your chance is here; you will have to pass the UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2024 examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). For this, UPSC has released a notification for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandant (Group A). Any candidate who wants to apply for these posts can apply through the official website.
UPSC has announced vacancies for a total of 186 posts. The application process commenced on April 24 and will continue until May 14. The written examination for this recruitment is scheduled for August 4, 2024. To be eligible for the BSF Assistant Commandant position, candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university.
Age limit
Additionally, applicants who want to apply for these posts should be between 20 years to 25 years old as of August 1, 2024. Only then will they be considered eligible to apply. Along with this, age relaxation will also be provided as per government norms.
Fee structure
Candidates who want to apply for the post of Assistant Commandant in the Border Security Force (BSF), will have to pay Rs 200 as an application fee. However, women candidates and people belonging to the SC/ST category are exempted from the same.
Selection Process
The BSF Assistant Commandants selection process involves multiple stages, from a written exam to physical and medical tests. Lastly, the successful candidates attend an interview where their overall suitability is assessed.
