The Reserve Bank of India has issued a notification asking candidates to apply for 841 posts of Office Attendant in various branches of the bank on its official website www.rbi.org.in. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of RBI at opportunities.rbi.org.in. The last day for registration is March 15. The online test will be conducted on April 9 and 10. Eligibility criteria
The candidate should be between 18 and 25 years of age as of February 1, 2021, and must have been born not earlier than February 2, 1996, and not later than February 1, 2003.
Educational qualification
Applicants should be 10th class passed from the concerned State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which he/she is applying. The candidate should be a domicile of the State/UT coming to which he/she is applying for.
The candidate should be an undergraduate as graduates and those possessing higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
If a candidate belongs to the Ex-servicemen category, then he/ she should have passed 10th Standard and have rendered at least 15 years of defence service. It is also to be noted that he/she should have not graduated outside the Armed Forces.
Selection process
A country-wide online competitive test will be conducted for the selection for the post of office attendant followed by the Language Proficiency Test in Regional Language.
Payscale
The starting basic pay provided to the selected candidates will be Rs 10,940 per month in the scale of 10940 – 380 (4) – 12460 – 440 (3) – 13780 – 520 (3) – 15340 – 690 (2) – 16720 – 860 (4) – 20160 – 1180 (1) – 23700 and other allowances.
The initial monthly Gross emoluments for Office Attendants is approximately Rs 26,508. And the Office Attendants who will not be staying in the accommodation provided by the Bank will be provided with a House Rent Allowance of 15 per cent of the pay.
