The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra announced the final merit list for the third round of counseling of MH CET 5-year LLB 2024 on August 20. The merit list is based on entrance exam scores, which will guide the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds. Candidates can check the merit list from the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org by using their registration number and date of birth to check the list.
The MH CET 5-year LLB counseling process consists of three rounds. An additional round for All India Candidature and State-level (ACAP) candidates is managed at the institute level.
MH CET 5-year LLB: Steps to check final merit list
Step 1: Visit the official website: cetcell.mahacet.org.
Step 2: On the homepage, find the clickable link titled “MH CET 5-Year LLB Final Merit List 2024”
Step 3: Candidates need to log in using their registration number and date of birth.
Step 4: Once logged in, the final merit list shall appear on your screen.
Step 5: Download the list and take a screenshot or printout of it for future reference
MH CET LAW Tie Breaking Policy:
If two or more candidates secure the same score then the State CET cell will adopt a tie-breaking method. Here are the steps according to which the candidates will be given rank:
— Candidates with higher marks in class 12 will be given preference
— Candidates marks in the first language examination (Marathi Board) will be given preference over any other board students
— The candidates who have completed their class 12 from CBSE/ICSE board, their marks for the best five subjects will be considered.
— Someone with higher graduation marks will be given higher ranks.
MH CET 5-Year LLB Eligibility Criteria:
For general category candidates, they must have passed their class 12 examination or equivalent examination (like HSC or CBSE) from a recognized board with at least 45 percent aggregate marks. For SC/ST and PwD candidates, they must pass their class 12 examination or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40 per cent aggregate marks. For the SEBC and EWS candidates, they must score 42 per cent in their qualifying examination.
There is no upper age limit for candidates applying to the MH CET Law 5-Year LLB program, as per the current guidelines.
MH CET 5-Year LLB Exam Pattern:
The MH CET Law exam is typically conducted online (computer-based test). The test comprises 150 multiple-choice questions. The candidate is awarded a mark for every right answer. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The duration of the examination is two hours. The MH CET Law exam 2024 for a 5-year LLB was conducted on May 30, 2024, and the result was declared on June 26, 2024.
