Meet Professor KS Chandrasekar, New Vice Chancellor Of Cluster University Of Jammu
In addition to his leadership in academia, Professor Chandrasekar is a highly accomplished scholar.

Professor KS Chandrasekar has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), a position conferred by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha. This prestigious appointment follows Professor Chandrasekar’s extensive academic experience and leadership roles.

Currently, he serves as a Professor and Head of the Institute of Management at Kerala University. His prior roles include Director of the School of Business Management and Legal Studies at the University of Kerala, Chairman of the Business Management Board of Studies at Kerala University and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and Vice President of the Center for Management Development, Thiruvananthapuram, a government institution. He has also held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies three times.

In addition to his leadership in academia, Professor Chandrasekar is a highly accomplished scholar. He has authored ten major books and has published 213 research articles in leading journals and publications. His work has been presented in 259 research papers at both national and international conferences. He is also actively involved in the academic community, serving on the editorial boards of 18 prestigious national and international journals.

His contributions to education have earned him 16 significant awards, recognising his influence and achievements. Furthermore, he holds a visiting professor position at the Commonwealth Open University in Spain and the UK, and he is a national council member of the All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD), New Delhi.

Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), informally known as Jammu University (JU), was founded in 1969 under an Act of the State Assembly, making it 55 years old. It has received an A+ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university is situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Hills, near the Tawi River, with campuses located in Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Poonch, Reasi, Ramnagar, Kathua, and Udhampur.
