Sharda Sahu, a student of the coaching who qualified for the NEET, said that she prepared for the exam by staying in the free hostel here for two years.

Ten students of the Akanksha Coaching Centre have been selected for the NEET exam conducted by the National Examination Agency (NTA). The coaching centre is run by the district administration in Janjgir Champa district, Chhattisgarh. It offers free preparation for a two-year course to help economically weaker students succeed in national-level engineering and medical entrance exams.

Sharda Sahu, a student of the coaching who qualified for the NEET exam, said that she prepared for the NEET exam by staying in the free hostel here for two years and she scored 498 marks in the medical examination. She also said that Akanksha coaching is a very good opportunity for students who are unable to prepare for NEET or JEE by going out to coaching institutes due to the poor financial condition of their families.

Meenakshi Chandra, who qualified for NEET, said that she prepared for the exam by getting free preparation from the coaching, in which she scored 459 marks. She said that in Kota, the fee for NEET and JEE coaching is about 1.5 to 2 lakhs. But this coaching provides the opportunities free of charge along with the preparation of class 12th board exams so that students can pass the exams with a good percentage and can also clear NEET and JEE.

Vikrant Sahu, a teacher of Akanksha Coaching, said that the district administration provides free coaching to economically weaker students in Akanksha Residential Complex, in which preparation is done in an advanced manner for exams like NEET and JEE. A total of 40 students had taken the JEE Main exam, of which 24 have been selected, while 14 students had taken the NEET exam, out of which 10 have qualified, in which Sharda Sahu scored the highest marks of 498 out of 720. Here students are given free hostel accommodation, food, a state-of-the-art library, a computer room, and two-year course NEET and JEE books. All facilities are given to the students for free.

Teacher Suresh Sahu said that this year 14 students had taken the NEET exam conducted by the National Examination Agency, out of which 10 students have qualified. He said that under this Akanksha residential programme, economically weaker students studying in class 11th are prepared for a 2-year course to be successful in national-level engineering and medical-related entrance exams.

Along with this, the students are also prepared for the 11th and 12th board exams. For admission here, students from lower classes under the Janjgir Champa district are selected through an entrance exam.
