Watch: Shashank Singh Recreates Shah Rukh Khan's Iconic Pose After Epic Win Against KKR
Shashank Singh celebrated his match-winning knock in a record-breaking chase by imitating the iconic pose of Shah Rukh Khan.

Shashank Singh was at his devastating best as Punjab Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in a high-scoring Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 contest at the Eden Gardens on Friday.

Shashank notched up his second fifty of the ongoing IPL, helping his team record the highest successful chase in the history of men’s T20.

Following his match-winning performance, Shashank showed his gratitude to the crowd in the iconic style of KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan.

In a video shared by PBKS on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Shashank was seen imitating the signature pose of SRK, with the tune of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge playing in the background.

Stretching his arms just like the Badshah of Bollywood, Shashank said, “Thank you, Eden Gardens.”

Shashank has quickly emerged as a dependable batter for the PBKS in their middle order in this IPL season. He has aggregated 263 runs at a strike-rate of 182.64.

He has demonstrated his spectacular batting talent on several occasions but his latest knock against KKR was beyond special.

KKR batted first and posted a mammoth 261 runs on the board.

The opening pair of Philip Salt and Sunil Narine gave KKR a powerful start. They stitched a 138-run partnership in the first ten overs, building the foundation for a big score. Following the dismissal of the duo, Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russell and Shreyas Iyer played their parts.

PBKS looked determined to put up a neck-and-neck fight. Prabhsimran Singh, who came in as an impact player, opened the innings with Jonny Bairstow. They racked up 93 runs together in the powerplay before Prabhsimran returned to the pavilion scoring 54. Bairstow, who looked quite pale in the previous games of this IPL, found his form when PBKS needed him the most.

After losing his opening partner, Bairstow joined hands with Rilee Rossouw and came up with an 85-run stand. After Rossouw was dismissed by Sunil Narine, Shashank entered to guide the visitors to a remarkable chase.

Bairstow scored 108 runs off just 48 balls while Shashank registered a quickfire half-century.

The English batter slammed nine sixes and eight furs. Shashank also matched the tempo as he whacked eight sixes during his 68-run knock. The duo remained unbeaten till the end as PBKS reached the target in 18.4 overs.
