Virat Kohli Fastest to 27000 International Runs; Breaks Sachin Tendulkar Record and Becomes 4th Player to Milestone
India's Virat Kohli continues to create history as he became the fastest to hit 27000 runs in international cricket surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Team India’s Virat Kohli continues to break records as he hit yet another milestone by amassing 27000 runs in international cricket and becoming the fastest player to achieve this goal.

The 35-year-old cricketer reached the milestone in his 535th matches (594 innings). Only three other batters—Sachin Tendulkar (34,357), Kumar Sangakkara (28,016), and Ricky Ponting (27,483)—have crossed the 27,000-run mark in international cricket so far.

After playing in 114 Tests, 295 ODIs and 125 T20Is, Kohli has been one of India’s finest batters across all formats and also established himself as one of the biggest batting forces in the world.

Time and again, many have questioned Kohli’s abilities through the years. From his strike-rate issues in T20Is to his poor form in Tests, the main man has gone on to prove his doubters wrong by performing where it counts.

Now the batter will see himself among three other legendary names and many would hope that he can peak once again to possibly topple his predecessors and set a new template for years to come.

India’s Batting Blitzkrieg in Kanpur

With two day’s worth of play being washed out at Kanpur, Team India is looking to force a result in the ongoing Test against Bangladesh. Keeping the World Test Championship (WTC) qualification as the top priority, the side has decided to go all-out against the Bangladesh bowling attack.

Rohit Sharma set the tone by smashing two sixes off his first two deliveries while Jaz-ball was in full flow with Jaiswal smashing a quickfire knock of 72 off 51.

Kohli being the team player also chipped in with a handy fifty but was dismissed by Shakib Al Hasan soon after. A highlight during the innings was the mix-up between him and Rishabh Pant which saw luck favouring the Indian side as the Bangladesh bowler was not able to hit the stumps.

But Team India has already taken the lead on Day 4 and will likely look to bat through the day and hope that the bowlers can get the job done on the final day and hopefully secure an innings victory to help improve their chances of making it to the WTC finals for a third-consecutive season.
