Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma Among 19 India Women Nominees For WBBL 2024 Draft

A total of 19 Indian women cricketers have nominated themselves for the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) draft to be held on Sunday (September 1). Among the top Indian players, Smriti Mandhana has already joined the Adelaide Strikers for WBBL 10. Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma are among the prominent names from the Indian women cricket team to feature in the draft.
This follows the earlier nomination of 80 cricketers, including 11 women players from Pakistan, for the Big Bash Leagues draft, further emphasizing the international appeal and competitive nature of the tournament.
Mandhana, who will be playing for her fourth WBBL team now, was acquired as a pre-draft signing by Strikers who are a two-time WBBL champions. She previously represented Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Thunder.
