The hopes of the many fans of Indian cricket are on the up once again after Rohit Sharma’s side, gave England a beatdown to secure their spot in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. As the Men in Blue look ahead at yet another shot to secure silverware, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Mr Jay Shah has one simple message for the team and the supporters.
The BCCI secretary had a simple message for the Indian team. He posted on his official handle on X where his caption read, “BELIEVE”, as he congratulated the team for making it through to the finals.

The Indian team will be up against South Africa with the big finale set to take place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday. Both sides are the best considering that they are the two sides that remain unbeaten throughout the tournament.
Rohit Sharma has been outstanding with the bat and as a captain. He has produced some fine knocks in the big games like against Australia and England in the Super Eight and semi-final respectively to give the side the platform to go on and set a decent score on the board.

As a leader he has once again shown his class after leading the side to the final in the ODI World Cup, now the Indian team find themselves one step away from the trophy, this time in the T20I format.
When the squad for the T20 showpiece event was announced, many questioned why he opted to choose four spinners in his team and the results were evident with the likes of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav stealing the show with the ball against the defending champions England.

As India is one step away from the trophy, a win would ensure that Jay Shah’s promise, which he delivered during the renaming ceremony of Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium after the former BCCI and SCA Secretary Niranjan Shah, that India would lift the trophy in Barbados.
