‘What He Is Saying Is True:’ Actor M Sasikumar On Ameer-KE Gnanavel Raja Controversy

Tamil film director Ameer has accused producer KE Gnanavel Raja of leaving the film Paruthiveeran mid-way after getting busy with other projects. This issue came to light during the promotional event of Karthi-starrer Japan, in which Ameer was not invited. In response to this, Gnanavel Raja said that director Ameer has cheated numerous producers in the past by submitting unethical financial statements of the film to them. He also questioned his integrity in a statement to the media and called him “unethical”. Amid the ongoing controversy, actor M Sasikumar has come out in support of Ameer.

Now, M Sasikumar has commented on these allegations by Gananvel Raja and said that he strongly condemns the statement made by the producer. “I personally lent the entire amount to Ameer for the final shoot of Paruthiveeran. The film was released without our payment being settled. What he (Ameer) says is true,” tweeted M Sasikumar on X.

Paruthiveeran released in 2007. It was directed by Ameer and starred Karthi Sivakumar in the lead role. Priyamani played the lead heroine in the movie. It was a blockbuster hit at the box office. Ameer and Sivakumar’s family used to share a good relationship, which turned sour after this movie. It is believed that Gnanavel Raja left the production of the movie midway to look after Suriya Sivakumar’s movie. As a result, the shooting of the movie was halted due to lack of funds. After this, Ameer completed the film under his production house and was allegedly cheated by the producers during the release of the film. He reportedly said that Gananvel Raja took the production rights of the movie after watching the film. The producer bashed these allegations by calling Ameer a “cheater”.

Ameer has said that there has been no contract signed between him and the producers. He claimed that there had been no breach of contract from his side, and it was Gnanavel Raja who left the movie mid-way without allocating the fund for the movie. Ameer also requested his fans and media to not contact him regarding this issue, as many are unaware of the truth.
