The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) is a government initiative to lend financial support to small, or marginal farmers in need. As per reports, the central government is set to provide improved assistance to around 40 lakh farmers across the country facing an issue with their instalments. Let us take a look at how they can avail the money in their accounts.

The PM KISAN scheme was started in 2019 by the government where they took into account the financial well-being of the farmers and aimed to assist them accordingly. As per reports, the 16th instalment under this scheme was recently made available in the accounts of the farmers. Reports state further that currently there are around 40 lakh farmers, who used to get financial aid, but it stopped due to a lack of eKYC or Aadhaar linking.
Now, the government has provided another option to restart the allowance which could be done in a matter of minutes. For this, the farmers have to remember to link their eKYC and Aadhaar to the bank.
There are two ways to do this. First, a farmer can download the PM KISAN app on their phone, and complete the eKYC process. For the second method, they can just visit the common service centre and update their eKYC or Aadhaar. These will help the farmers in restarting their financial instalments under the scheme.

They just have to enter their mobile number and their card number, and after doing that they will get all the information required. The government recently credited the 16th instalment under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi in the accounts of around 9 crore farmers.
