Jet Airways to offer kiosk check-in
Jet Airways announces its first domestic ‘kiosk check-in’ facility from June at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and other cities.

Mumbai: Jet Airways on Thursday announced its first domestic 'kiosk check-in' facility from June one at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore airports which would be made available in other cities also.

Company vice president(marketing) Gaurang Shetty said that the new facility is available globally in most airports.

While two kiosk machines will be available at Mumbai and Delhi airports, one will be installed in Bangalore. Kiosk check-in, available for domestic flights, can be completed at Jet airways kiosks located at the airport.

When customers use kiosk check-in, the system performs a name check, verifies PNR, enables passengers to select their preferred seats and print their boarding passes using the printer integrated with the kiosk.

Kiosk check-in enables passengers carrying only hand baggage to proceed directly for security in minutes, Mr Shetty added.

"Increasingly, customers find self service devices like bank ATMs very convenient specially for repeat activity chores and the self service kiosks is one such initiative where customers with hand baggage can check themselves in and proceed straight to the boarding gate without any human intervention," he added.

Jet Airways operates over 320 flights to 48 destinations in India, South Asia and England currently.
