Hrithik Roshan Promises War 2 Is Going To Be Fun, Says ‘My Challenge Is To Show Kabir…’
In War 2, Jr NTR will be essaying the role of an antagonist, while Hrithik Roshan will be reprising his character – Kabir.

Hrithik Roshan is currently basking under the success of his recently released film ‘Fighter’. The aerial action thriller also stars Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. Well, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Hrithik opened up about his character Kabir from War 2. He has promised that his role will be more fun. To note, War was one of the highest-grossing films and also starred Tiger Shroff in the lead role.

Talking to Pinkvilla, the Fighter actor when asked about his fascinating and darker take on Kabir in War 2, he said, “Kabir has definitely left a mark. And getting into Kabir’s boots is going to be fun because this time, my challenge is to show Kabir in a different light. A different aspect of him which is going to be interesting”.

War 2 marks the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes previous films like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2022), and the upcoming Tiger 3 (2023). This film will continue the storyline from Tiger 3 and eventually lead to the highly anticipated showdown between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the film Tiger v/s Pathaan. War, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, was released in 2019 and became the highest-grossing film of the year in India, earning over Rs 300 crore and achieving blockbuster status at the box office.

In War 2, Jr NTR will be essaying the role of an antagonist, while Hrithik Roshan will be reprising his character – Kabir. Pinkvilla in December reported that the makers will begin filming from February 2024.

Talking about Fighter, director Siddharth Anand has opened up about his plans for its sequel. During a chat with Pinkvilla. “Yeah, that audience will decide. Abhi dekhte hain abhi 3 hi din hue hain (We’ll see. It’s been just three days since the film release). I think audience ka pyaar (love) will decide what we will do, and we would love to make Fighter 2 a larger story. We have some great ideas that we want to put it down to”.
