Vikas Bahl’s horror flick, Shaitaan hit the box office on March 8 and opened to positive reviews from viewers and critics. After a long time, a Hindi horror movie has made its mark and is creating a storm at the box office. The movie has a strong performance by R Madhavan as the villain and Ajay Devgn in the lead. On its opening day, the movie minted Rs 14.50 crore across all languages in India. And now, the movie is gearing up to enter the Rs 150 crore club.

Just a few days back, Shaitaan entered the Rs 100 crore club at the domestic box office. Currently, it is in its third week at the box office. The movie witnessed a slight decline in its earnings, but it is still going strong. As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, it earned Rs 81.60 crore, meanwhile, its second-week collection was Rs 117.68 crore.

As per Sacnilk reports, Shaitaan may earn Rs 3.21 crore on the 18th day. It is assumed that the festival spirit of Holi may have contributed to the movie’s box-office collection and success. Currently, the net total collection of the movie is Rs 128.76 crore and may easily cross the Rs 150 crore mark. If the reports are anything to go by, Shaitaan is one of the top-collecting movies in the third week and may run strong till Eid.

A remake of the Gujarati movie Vash, Shaitaan is presented by Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Films and Panorama Studios International. The horror drama is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. The music department is handled by Devi Sri Prasad.

Shaitaan stars Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika, Janki Bodiwala and Anngad Raaj. The movie marks Jyotika’s first Bollywood movie after 25 years. In 1997, the actress marked her debut with Doli Saja Ke Rakhna opposite Akshaye Khanna. She ventured into the Tamil movie industry and cemented her position as a prolific actress in the South. She also starred in a bilingual movie, Little John in 2001.
