South star Mammootty has received several awards for his contribution to the world of cinema which also includes a Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award by the government. In his movie career, which spans over five decades, Mammootty has ruled the Malayalam movie industry with his diverse characters and action-packed roles. The actor was recently seen in the movie Kannur Squad which became a blockbuster at the box office.

The actor is still giving superhits at the age of 72. Many young actors in the Malayalam film industry look up to this actor who has given half of his life to Malayalam cinema. Apart from this, he also has a son, Dulquer Salmaan, who is also one of the leading actors in the Malayalam film industry. Mammootty is currently busy with several movie projects.

The actor is set to star in director Vysakh’s much-anticipated film, Turbo. This collaboration will mark their third director-actor venture. The duo previously had a success with the movies Pokkiri Raja and Madhura Raja. Apart from being the lead actor in the movie, Mammootty will also be producing this movie under the banner of Mammootty Kompany. The shooting of the film started on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, building anticipation among fans. Now, as per the latest updates, the Kannada actor Raj B Shetty will be playing a prominent role in the movie.

Apart from this, Mammootty will also be seen in the sequel of the superhit Telugu movie Yatra. The sequel- Yatra 2 is scheduled to release on February 8, 2024. The first part of the movie was released in 2019. The movie was an emotional tribute to the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhara Reddy. The movie was directed by Mahi V Raghav while the music is composed by the talented Santhosh Narayana. The movie is releasing after five years on the same date as its prequel. Along with this, the actor is also working for Bazooka which is written and directed by Deeno Dennis.
