Ever since the Tata Altroz Racer, a sportier avatar of Altroz, was displayed during the 2023 Auto Expo, it instantly became the center of attraction. From design to overall presence, the vehicle somehow has received an overwhelming response from both the general public and critics. Now, some of the important details related to the vehicle have been leaked online.
As per the leaks, the brand is gearing up to release the model in the Indian market by next month, while the sale is expected to kick-start in early June. However, an official confirmation is awaited by the brand.
Any Changes in Design?
It has been speculated that the sporty avatar of Altroz will carry the same stance as it was seen during the 2023 Auto Expo. It will continue to feature dual tone shade from the outside, featuring a white strip at the centre of the bonnet, stylish alloy wheels, LED headlight setup, paired with fog lamps.
Expected Features
If rumors are to be believed, final production might receive some minor cosmetic changes from both the exterior and interior. The model will be treated with some first-in-class segment features. The list includes ventilated leatherette seats, a voice-activated electric sunroof, a head-up display, a 360-degree surround-view camera system, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supported by all car connect technology.
On the safety front, it is likely to get 6-airbags on board, and will be equipped with electronic stability control (ESC) as standard.
Engine and Power
Under the hood, the coming Altroz Racer will use a trusted 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, borrowed from hot-selling product Nexon. It will generate a maximum power of 118 bhp and 170 Nm, and might be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Current Lineup
The company has introduced the Altroz lineup in India at the starting price of Rs 6.65 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 10.80 lakh. The vehicle is offered in more than 30 variants, giving a wide choice to the customers to choose from.
