New Delhi: British supercar maker Aston Martin has taken the wraps off the newest car to bear the DB badge, the DB9 GT. Aston Martin says that the new, hand built Grand Tourer is the best version of what a DB9 can be.

The DB9 GT has a monstrous 6.0-litre V12 engine that is naturally aspirated. It produces 547PS at 6,750rpm and 620Nm of twisting force at 5,500rpm.

The large V12 is mated to a 6-speed Touchtronic II transmission with an electronic shift on the fly system. Aston Martin claims a 0-100kmph time of 4.5 seconds and a top whack of 295kmph.

The exteriors are based on the current DB9 with alterations to the headlamp and tail lamps. A splitter and rear diffuser are also incorporated to enhance the aerodynamics over the standard DB9.

The DB9 GT also comes with an Adaptive Damping System (ADS) that alters the ride and handling to match the chosen settings- Normal, Sport and Track. The car runs custom made 20-inch alloys.

The interiors have also been revised and come with a touchscreen infotainment system called AMi II. Debuted in the Vanquish, the system comes with improvements such as text message integration, vehicle status information and an array of background themes.
