The popular movie Hum Aapke Hain Koun, starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, hit theaters almost 30 years ago. It broke records and inspired people of all ages. It also led to a book called 14 Songs, 2 Weddings & A Funeral (2001) and set a trend for grand Indian weddings with large families and friends. Not just that, it set fashion goals too that are followed to date.
Growing up in the 90s, many girls found endless inspiration in Madhuri’s iconic style from the film. Her looks, from casual to traditional, became a go-to inspiration for family functions or formal gatherings. One standout piece was her lavish purple saree from the song Didi Tera Devar Deewana, designed by the renowned costume designer Anna Singh. This saree, priced at a whopping ₹1.5 million at the time of the film’s release, was not only a fashion statement but also sparked conversations with its unique backless blouse and full sleeves.
Fast forward 30 years, and Madhuri still rocks the same timeless design! The actress recently slipped into the iconic outfit for an episode of Dance Deewane, where she serves as a judge. She sported the familiar saree and posed for the paps. Looks like, Madhuri has a special performance planned for the dance reality show. Many took to the comments section to ask ‘Where is Prem?’

Talking about the show Dance Deewane, Madhuri Dixit had earlier said, “Returning to the judge’s seat for Dance Deewane feels like revisiting a cherished tradition. This spectacular stage is a melting pot of inclusivity, where dancers from all walks of life, spanning generations, come together to celebrate the art of dance. Over the years, I’ve mentored many dancers, but this edition marks the first time I will be part of dance families united by their unbridled passion for the art. I am thrilled and looking forward to co-judge this season with Suniel Shetty, known for infusing wit and humour onto the stage, bringing a unique synergy.”
