Fiat India which showcased the facelifted Linea at the Auto Expo has now launched the car at Rs 6.99 lakh ex-Delhi. Both the Linea T-Jet and Multijet come in three trim levels - Active, Dynamic and the top end Emotion. Base Linea T-Jet gets ABS while ABS and two airbags come as standard in the two higher variants for both engines.
The new Linea comes with a fresh look which comprises of a revised bumper, grille and fog lamp housing. There is an option of 16-inch alloys while 15-inch wheels come as standard.
The rear of the car gets a repositioned number plate and some chrome detailing on the trunk. Inside the cabin, the dashboard layout is new while a rear AC vent and light colour upholstery over the reasonably comfortable looking seats should keep the occupants happy.
The Linea now comes with the 1.4 NA petrol, high performance turbo petrol T-Jet and Multijet diesel options. The 1.4 T-Jet makes 114PS of power and 207Nm of torque while the 1.3 Multijet makes 93PS and 209Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol Linea claims a fuel efficiency of 15.7kmpl and the diesel 20.4kmpl.
