WWE NXT action headed to the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee on February 4. The latest premium live event NXT Vengeance Day offered by the WWE featured three title matches on the night and the finals for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The title defences saw NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria defend her crown against Roxanne Perez. Later in the show, the NXT North American Champion Oba Femi took on Dragon Lee. Finally, the fans got to witness the NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov take on Trick Williams in the main event. The night also saw Dijak and Joe Gacy face off in a no-disqualification.
These are the results of all the fights on the latest episode of WWE NXT Vengeance Day:
Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin vs Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes – Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals
The match began with Breakker dominating Hayes early. Soon all four men enter the ring and take each other out. As Corbin recovers, he hits Deep Six on both of his opponents after which Breakker lands a moonsault. Next, Williams hits a neckbreaker on Corbin. After this, Hayes tries to save his partner and gets hit by a spear from Breakker who then pins his opponent for a victory.
Dijak vs Joe Gacy – No Disqualification Match
As the match begins, both Dijak and Gacy pull out their weapons. After exchanging some blows, Gacy wrapped up Dijak’s eyes with duct tape. As Dijak tries to remove the tape, he gets planted by a DDT into a chair before Gacy lands a splash. Dijak soon recovers by using a nightstick to his advantage. He then delivers a Feast Your Eyes for a pinfall victory.
The Family vs Out The Mud
The match begins with The Family attacking their opponents right as the fight begins. Soon all six wrestlers enter the ring as the family takes control. During the later stages of the match, D’Angelo launched stacks over the top turnbuckle. Next, Scrypts tries to get involved but is knocked out by a clothesline. D’Angelo then lands the fisherman buster on Price to seal a win for The Family.
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs Roxanne Perez – NXT Women’s Championship Match
The match begins with both the female superstars going for an early pinfall. After trading some moves, Lola Vice makes her way into the ring and cashes in her contract to make the match a triple treat. Vice later catches the champion with an elbow before trying to lock in the armbar but Valkyria gets out of it. Valkyria later recovers and then lands the Nightwish to retain her championship.
Oba Femi (c) vs Dragon Lee – North American Championship Match
The action starts with Femi being attacked early, sending the champion out of the ring. After some back-and-forth moves, Lee displays his strength by power bombing Femi onto the floor but isn’t enough for a three-count. Lee next tries to roll up Femi but the champion recovers and then tosses him across the win. He next lands a powerbomb to pick up a victory.
Ilja Dragunov (c) vs Trick Williams – NXT Championship Match
Ilja Dragunov lunges into Trick Williams early but gets caught. Williams then lands a slap to Dragunov, angering the champion who fires back with some chops. Williams recovers with a neckbreaker before landing the Trick Knee. However, he couldn’t go for a pinfall as the referee had earlier been knocked out during the match. Soon, another official made his way into the ring but by that time Dragunov recovered with the Torpedo Moscow to retain his title.
