Watch: Flight Attendant’s Hilarious Safety Demonstration Is Too Good To Miss
Michael McAdam has authored multiple comic books.

A video of a flight attendant giving a safety demonstration with a touch of hilarious actions and over-the-top expressions is winning over the internet. The flight attendant holds the attention of the passengers as he imparts important safety instructions related to wearing seatbelts and using oxygen masks in case of emergencies. An undated video of the flight attendant’s unique demonstration was posted on Instagram by a popular account named @funniestviralvidz. This clip has over one lakh likes. The flight attendant in the clip is Michael McAdam, who worked at Canadian airline Westjet. McAdam is also a writer who has many published comic books under his name.

Commenting on McAdam’s clip, an Instagram user wrote, “It’s great to have a little bit of humour, keeps our attention, and reminds us of what we need to do all at the same time… A master class of getting the job done with a little bit of humour." Another person referred to him as “Jim Carey of air plane attendants". A person wrote, “Imagine going on a flight dreading the ordeal only to see this guy bet that changes everything." Expressing the opposite sentiment, an Instagram user wrote, “If I’m going on a plane flying over 500 mph, I don’t want a comedian for a flight attendant."

McAdam first went viral in 2011, when a YouTube user Bryan Cuerrier, shared a video of his hilarious safety institutions on YouTube. This clip got over 13 lakh views.

Over the years many videos of McAdam’s humourous safety instructions have gone viral. In a 2023 interview with First Comic News, McAdam mentioned that he retired from Westjet. The 54-year-old also started Two Gargoyles Comics, an independent comic publication based out of Alberta in Canada.

Over the years, he has written multiple comic books. Some of his books are: Twilight Detective Agency, which is a supernatural noir detective story, and Gloaming, a small-town horror book. He has also written two murder mysteries as stage plays: Death of a Cellsman and My Big Fat Geek Wedding.

Talking about the inspiration behind his comic book heroes, McAdam told First Comic News, “I have always liked stories of hope. To me, superheroes are about giving hope, protecting people, and overcoming adversity. They try, they fail, they try again and succeed. They put themselves out there as examples of what we all could be if we only believed we could. And yes, sometimes the superhuman antics are silly– why do you need to wear a cape just because you can fly? Why dress up in a costume to lift a car over your head? I wanted to acknowledge the fun and ridiculousness of it all, tongue-in-cheek, in my work. If you can’t laugh at yourself, you can’t create honestly."
