UPSC Topper Aditya Srivastava's Reaction After Checking Result Is Wholesome

It was a dream come true for Aditya Srivastava, a young man from Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow city, as he emerged as the topper of the prestigious UPSC exams 2023. On Tuesday, April 16, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Civil Services Examination 2023 results, with Aditya securing the first rank. As soon as the results were declared, Aditya took to social media and shared the news through a series of tweets. A video is also going viral, showing his heartwarming reaction after checking his scores.

Captured inside their hostel at the Indian Police Service Mess, the video shows his friends celebrating after his big achievement. While Aditya seemed moved, still trying to sink in the moment, his friends joyfully cheered for him and lifted him up before walking around their hostel.

After the clip went viral, social media users have been congratulating Aditya for his results. A user wrote, “Congratulations to him… He was preparing since 2017 and he made it…”, while another commented, “Congratulations on securing AIR-1 in the IAS! Your hard work has truly paid off. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors!”

“Congratulations sir. 7 years of struggle finally pays off!!!”, a user wrote.

In another video shared by the UPSC topper on his X handle, Aditya can be seen stating that he wished for at least to be in the top 70. “In the morning I was praying to God to put me in the top 70. It took a bit of time for the news to sink in. But it did and I was very excited. I don’t think that anyone can say that he or she was expecting rank 1 but that’s how the exams are,” he told PTI in an interview.

He shared another tweet expressing his gratitude and wrote, “A journey I will cherish lifelong full of gratitude to all those who stood by me throughout ।। Dreams do come true…”

Who is Aditya Srivastava?

Aditya is an alum of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He did his schooling at CMS Lucknow’s Aliganj branch and cleared his Class 12 exams with a score of 95 per cent. Later, he pursued a dual B.Tech and M.Tech degree at IIT Kanpur.

While Srivastava bags the top spot, Animesh Pradhan, Donuru Ananya Reddy, and PK Sidharth Ramkumar have claimed the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
