UK First Lady Akshata Murty Spotted With Dad Narayana Murthy At Roadside Book Stall In Bengaluru

Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his wife-philanthropist Sudha Murty are known for their simplicity. The couple was recently spotted at the Raghavendra Mutt in Bengaluru with their daughter and UK First Lady Akshata Murty. They were also accompanied with Akshata’s daughters – Anoushka and Krishna. The family was seen checking out books at the mutt and a video of the occurrence recently surfaced on social media.

The video was apparently shot last week during the launch of Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty’s biography. Akshata Murty and her daughters were in Bengaluru for the event. All of them donned casual outfits and were seen without a visible security detail.

“UK PM Rishi Sunak’s wife and kids spotted at Raghavendra Mutt in Bengaluru, accompanied by Infosys Founder Narayana Murthy. Their simplicity shines through, with no security in sight,” the caption of the video read.

Reacting to the clip, a person said, “Great people’s simplicity gives more inspiration and motivation to everyone.” Another individual referred to the city’s safety and noted, “If security in namma Bengaluru is your concern, then this is a perfect answer.”

This isn’t the first time that the Murthy family has been spotted for their rustic gesture. Earlier this month, another picture featuring the Infosys founder and Akshata went viral. The father-daughter duo were seen enjoying ice cream at a popular joint in Bengaluru.

An internet user posted the photo and wrote, “Britain’s First Lady Akshata Murty with her Father Shri Narayan Murthy at Corner House in Jayanagar Bengaluru…” The person also tagged UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Akshata Murty accompanied her parents to the launch event of Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni’s book – An Uncommon Love: The Early Life of Sudha and Narayana Murthy. Apart from their daughter, son Rohan Murthy was also present at the event.

Akshata Murty last visited India in 2023 September with Rishi Sunak for the G20 Summit. This was Sunak’s first trip to India since becoming the UK prime minister.
