UK Company Finds Dead Poisonous Spider In Parcel From China

People send packages and parcels all around the world. Every day, lakhs of goods are transported to different parts. These packages can carry all kinds of items and materials. All over the world, a lot of people import unique things from China. This is mainly because China is among the world’s biggest manufacturers of goods. These goods are even exported from China to the USA, UK and Canada. An incident has come up in the UK, where a company received a parcel from China, but when they opened it, they were shocked to see what was inside the parcel. According to reports, the parcel had a huge spider inside it, causing mayhem at the workplace.

As per reports, a large quantity of fruits and vegetables come to the UK from China. Some of these boxes reach the country through parcels. When these parcels were being opened in a warehouse in Oldham, a huge poisonous spider, the size of a hand, was seen in a box. After noticing it, people started running away. This was the first time that they faced this situation, and everyone was scared after they figured out that the spider could also be highly poisonous.

One of the employees at the workplace revealed that the spider was the size of a child’s hand and was found inside the boxes. He added that the spider was already dead and withered. It was quite surprising to find such a creature where you would not expect it. He further explained that the spider might have entered the box while the goods were being packaged, and died during the long journey.

Aaron Phoenix, who specialises in spider hunting, revealed that the spider that was found in the box was Heteropoda venetoria, which lives in tropical areas. He added that they are also called huntsman spiders, mainly because they are experts in hunting small insects and bugs. Another surprising fact about it is that it can grow up to about one foot long. Generally, it is not considered dangerous, but if it bites, there is enough poison in its body, which can cause a lot of pain. Apart from that, it is very fast, attacks instantly, and also has claws of about four inches.
