Finding valuable, unique and beautiful stones or gems in natural mines is nothing but winning a lottery. It is also not easy to find such things. It often takes a lot of time and effort. But when such things are found, the happiness of the discoverers knows no bounds and their sight becomes a reason for comfort and happiness for others too. In a viral video, a pyrite crystal with a beautiful shape was found, which is quite large.
The caption of the video states “The largest pyrite crystal we have ever found.” It continues “It was our last day of digging at the Pyrite Cube Mine in Navajun, Spain, when the “geocollector” noticed a large cube protruding from the limestone wall in the upper section.”
“We spent hours uncovering this massive beauty until we were able to pull it out for the first time. It was an exciting experience and the best way to end our digging adventure! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!”.
The mineral pyrite or iron pyrite is also known as fool’s gold. Its metallic lustre and pale brassy yellow colour give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the nickname “fool’s gold”. It is an iron sulphide with the chemical formula ferrous disulfide. Pyrite is the most common sulphide mineral.
Due to its colour, it has also been given nicknames such as Brass, Brazel and Brazil, which mainly refer to pyrite in coal. The video was shared on rocksforthespirit’s Instagram account, which has received more than 25 lakh views so far. People like the unique shape of this crystal. One user asked, “Can you buy it?” Most users did not believe that such a shaped crystal is natural.
In another incident, a man digging up a mountain to find the hidden treasure went viral.
After breaking a rock that initially looked like a regular rock, the man discovered a pot full of gold jewellery and other valuable items. Many netizens have claimed that the video is fake and the man placed the treasure at the foot of the mountain himself.
In the viral video, a person is seen digging up a mountain when he comes across an unknown oval-shaped stone. Expecting to find rare items, the man starts breaking the stone with a chisel and a hammer. After two or three hits, the stone breaks into two halves. Gold jewellery such as chains, coins and many other ornaments were found inside the stone. The original location of the excavation has not yet been disclosed by the owners of the post. The video was uploaded by a user named Nizar Rada, who goes by the name Treasure_sniiper on Instagram. The video has been viewed over two million times so far.
