An eagle attempted to hunt a kitten through a car windshield, but the result was unexpected.

In the animal kingdom, lions, tigers, leopards, and cats come to our mind when we discuss the best hunters. Not only do these creatures inhabit the top of the food chain, they are also apex predators. Meanwhile, birds like eagles, hawks, and owls are often lost to us during this process. However, these bird predators can carry out some truly amazing hunts and are also skilled hunters.

The way that nature develops often surprises us and gives us insights into the fine balance that exists between predator and prey. The unadulterated beauty of the animal kingdom was recently captured on camera in a stunning and somewhat unusual incident.

An eagle tried to hunt a kitten through a car windshield in a rare and unexpected encounter, but the results were much different than anticipated. The driver of the car saw the scene unfold as an eagle descended onto the car’s hood, its sharp eyes focused on a seemingly unaware kitten perched on the dashboard.

In the video, the car windshield served as a barrier between the large prey bird and the kitten as it attempted to make a quick grab through the glass. Meanwhile, the little cat sat on the dashboard, staring innocently at the bird, the kitten had no idea what the eagle’s true intentions were. After attempting a few times, the eagle was unable to hunt down the kitten and went back to its spot without giving it a quick look.

The video was shared on Instagram by resumidonifo and it has gone viral with responses pouring in from across the world. The clip was posted on January 1 this year and it has collected more than 20.6 million views. It also has more than 5 lakh likes and numerous comments.

Moreover, Instagram users posted everything from funny to worried comments. A user said, “Poor cat scared as hell. All for a video.” Another wrote, “I would turn the windshield wiper on.” A user commented, “good thing the baby kitten was inside.” Another asserted, “poor kitten – horrible video you don’t deserve the gorgeous kitty.” A user remarked, “So no lunch for birdie!”

Another striking example of the same was caught in 2023 when a big eagle was seen hunting a fully grown fox. The video was posted on X (Formerly Twitter) on May 22 and it has collected over 3.5 million views so far.

Eager to ensure a reliable source of food for itself and possibly its offspring, the eagle acts on instinct and survival instincts.
