MS Dhoni Has A New Haircut And Fans Have All The Reasons Not To Keep Calm

Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim recently shared a post of MS Dhoni’s latest hairstyle. Hakim, who works with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, shared that he was pleasantly surprised to find MS Dhoni at his Bandra studio. He shared a photo with the former Indian cricketer, who styled his hair in a voluminous quiff. While sharing this photo, Hakim wrote, “The enigmatic Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked into our salon and what a wonderful surprise it was. Pure joy to have the legend at the salon. He played some awesome vintage music during the hair session and the day got even better. There are some moments in life which you cherish forever. Love you Mahi Sir for everything.”

This post has gathered over 44,000 likes in just a few hours. In the comments, fans mentioned that they were relieved that Dhoni did not cut his hair too short. Making this point, one Instagram user wrote, “I was waiting for this pic for a long time since I saw Mahi going to your salon. I thought Mahi would cut her hair short now but thank God it didn’t happen.” Another person said, “I thought he chopped it off. Thank God.” Someone remarked, “Still the haircut could be better than this. Low in maintenance as he is a sportsman and not the filmstar carrying his own set of staff.”

At the start of his career, Dhoni was known for his signature long hair. Over the years, the beloved cricketer has sported several haircuts. Hakim has worked with Dhoni for several years now. Back in January, he styled Dhoni’s hair for a Kopiko toffee advertisement.

Before that, in July 2021, Hakim shared a post that showed Dhoni in a new avatar with a short fade-cut hairstyle and a well-groomed but pointy beard. While sharing these photos of Dhoni’s look, Hakim wrote, “Thoroughly enjoyed doing this haircut & beard for our legend.”

Back in December 2023, Dhoni spoke about maintaining long hair at the “Skipper Meets Skipper” event and said, “Maintaining this hairstyle is very difficult. Earlier I used to get ready in 20 minutes; now it takes 1 hour and 10 minutes. I’m doing it because fans are liking it, but someday I’ll wake up and decide it’s enough; I’ll cut it down.”
