Man Tries to 'Scam' Pakistan Woman on WhatsApp Telling Her Husband is 'Gay', Fails Hilariously
Viral post: A man tried to scam a Pakistani woman telling her husband is a gay, her response leaves the internet ROFL.

Come into the world of fraudsters, who often consider themselves the smartest beings around. However, in a digital age dominated by the internet, where everyone is well-informed about such scammers, an unusual incident recently unfolded. In a scenario that may or may not be classified as a ‘scam,’ a man attempted to deceive a woman on WhatsApp by falsely claiming that her husband is gay and that they have been in a relationship for nearly two years. His attempt, however, backfired hilariously as the sole basis for his identification of the woman turned out to be wrong.

Taking to ‘X’, the woman bearing the username @Salemschild_ recounted, “Weirdest s**t happened. Someone got my number from idk where. Thought my last name was my husband’s and tried to tell me he was gay.” The twist in the tale? The man mistook the woman’s last name (Habib) for her husband’s, when in fact, it was her father’s last name.

“Being told my 70 year old very strict military dad is gay wasn’t on my list for 2024…so I figured I’d humour him,” the woman recounted. She went on to share screenshots of the WhatsApp chat, highlighting how she cleverly turned the tables on the scammer.

The chat logs revealed the man, who identified himself as Ahmed, admitting that he learned about Habib’s marriage in February and intended to confront the woman about their supposed relationship. When questioned about how he obtained her contact information, he mentioned, “His car had a payment slip of sorts…which he said [a] friend misunderstood bor assumed to be mrs.”

And it wasn’t until she fabricated a story about her husband contracting HIV, expressing gratitude for Ahmed’s purported loyalty, that the hilarious facade began to unravel, leaving the scammer speechless.

Adding a final touch of amusement, she mused, “Anyway idk what kinda scam this is but twas funny,” before admitting that she could have played along further but regrets deciding not to.
